Dr. Matthew Ronconi grew up in Mountain View, CA, and launched his academic career by graduating with honors from UC Davis. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry before being selected for a three-year Orthodontic Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City (the teaching hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine). During his final year of residency, he was distinguished by serving as Chief Resident.
Now a proud member of the local community, Dr. Ronconi practices in Salinas, CA, where his commitment to excellence has been widely recognized. He was voted Best Orthodontist by Monterey County Weekly for three consecutive years (2023, 2024, and 2025) and was nominated as Outstanding Dentist of the Year in 2025. A leader in his field, he currently serves as the President of the Monterey Bay Dental Society, a position he also held in 2022.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ronconi is dedicated to service and an active lifestyle. He serves on the board of Set Free Monterey Bay, an organization supporting survivors of sex trafficking, and volunteers his time training puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. When he isn’t creating smiles or serving his community, you can find him playing competitive beach volleyball.
